Humanities
At Kitts Green Academy, our Humanities curriculum inspires curiosity about the world and its past while building key skills for life. Through Geography and History, pupils explore diverse people, places, and events that have shaped society. From investigating natural disasters, climate change, and global trade to examining the Romans, Vikings, British Empire, and World Wars, students develop critical thinking, empathy, and cultural awareness.
Fieldwork opportunities, such as studying local habitats or coastal changes, bring learning to life beyond the classroom. Across all key stages, pupils are encouraged to question, interpret evidence, and make connections between the past and present. Our Humanities journey equips learners not only with knowledge but also with the ability to understand their role in a complex, ever-changing world.
