The Department for Education has approved the extension of our age range from 6 to 14 to 6 to 16 from September 2026. 

This is good news for every family in our school community and especially important for those whose children would previously have had to leave us at 14. 

For many families, it means something very important straight away: their children will now have the opportunity to stay on after this summer. This change matters. It means we can support our pupils for longer, give them more stability at a key point in their lives, and help them build towards the future with the right support around them. 

We are now planning our Key Stage 4 provision for September. During the summer term, we will confirm the Year 10 curriculum, qualifications, any options choices, exam arrangements, careers support and individual plans for pupils who need them.
